Howdy folks.  I'm back in the office today but only working 1/2 the day.  Mrs. Nalt is taking her friend to a doctor's appointment so she needs me to pick Runt up from (alternative) school.  That is supposed to be punishment but it just doesn't seem like much.

We saw the Sandhill cranes a few months back when they were migrating south through Alabama. The estimates for the day we were over at Point Mallard was somewhere around 12,000 birds. It was truly amazing to see that many in one place. As Doc Lecter said, they are the Ribeye of the sky.  I'd love to try it...

HL: No, the bears are still pretty skinny.  None of the grizzlies with new cubs have emerged from their dens.  And we've only seen 2 black bears so far.  It's cold here.

Ricky: I haven't been fishing yet.  The lake is iced.

Blurry pic taken from my video (posted on FB).  Three wolves are attacking a grizzly.  They nipped and spun the grizzly for 15 minutes until it left the den area.  Don't screw with mama wolf!

2, with some of the driving I see on I-565 here in town, it's amazing we don't have dozens of wrecks every day.  Some people do some absolutely mind blowing antics trying to get somewhere a couple minutes quicker.
