Saban grew a bit testy during his post-game press conference when he was pressed about his decision not to challenge Taveze Calhoun's first interception of McCarron in the second quarter. A replay left some doubt about whether Calhoun got one of his feet in-bounds after catching the deflection.

Saban let out an audible sigh before he launched into a biting, albeit entertaining, response.

"I think we have replay people in the booth, so they've already looked at it," Saban said. "If they thought the guy was out of bounds, I thought they'd have reviewed it and looked at it. You think me challenging it would have changed their minds? They already looked at it." ...

Well, regardless, I thought he was OOB.  LF thought so too!

Wow, he has more faith in the officials then I do. Maybe he needs to watch more games on tv and realize that they do make mistakes and should be challenged at times. I would also think that somebody in the coaches booth would have picked up on it and advised him.  ???

You know Coach Saban.  He never questions the officials, especially those along the sidelines.

In live action I thought there was no doubt that he was out of bounds.  We went back and watched a frame-by-frame replay during one of the timeouts, and it appeared that the MSU player's left foot was still on the ground when he caught the ball...the odd jump move directly following made it look no good in real time though.

With that said, it was close enough that the game should've been stopped for a review.  There's no way that the guy was able to watch a replay or two in the 15 seconds he had and made a no-doubt call in the booth.

I only saw the replays shown by TV. I could not tell if his foot was down or not. It was very close. When it is that close the call on the field normally stands.

Thanks for being honest, unbiased, and forthright.
