Nazi dagger of the Storm Troops (Sturmabtielung), called an SA Dagger.  Designed in 1933; worn by most every officer.

Cut to the chase:  St Louis has this thing under control; Texas is done.

Here's hoping for an unbelievable 9th for the Rangers. I think it's over though. Hate it for them, but they had their chances.

Well I got home just in time to see the final out, back in September you could have probably got some pretty good odds in vegas on the Cards winning the WS.

Go Cardinals!  I know some of ya'll were rooting for the Rangers, but I've lived in both cities, Dallas/FW and St. Louis, and there is no real comparison for the gameday atmosphere @ St. Louis.  (Also lived in Chicago and had season tickets to the Cubs, but that's a whole different kind of fan -- one accustomed to not winning.)  St. Louis loves Cardinals baseball the way UK loves basketball .  While Dallas has the Cowboys, Mavericks, and those hockey and baseball teams (probably in that order), baseball is number one priority in StL --  the StL Cardinals football team left town years ago with barely a ripple, for Arizona.  ARIZONA!

So Cardinals baseball is special, with a rich history, and tradition of winning.  That's probably why they became my favorite baseball team, kinda reminds me of Bama football.

Congrats.  And now we welcome St. Louis to the SEC.  Wooooot.

Well, officially UMo is in Columbia, MO, which is a pretty cool college town situated conveniently half-way between St. Louis and Kansas City.  I didn't know anyone in St. Louis who followed UMo sports -- it was all about the Cardinals.  I'm not exactly excited about UMo-to-the-SEC.  It is better than a 13-team conference, they do have good academics, they will be another "breather game" most years for the real SEC powerhouses, and they will usually be better than Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, and Miss State.

It is the same bet, a pretty clever professional sports better.  He won't win the full $1.5 million because he "hedged" his bet, that is, he bet against the success of his bet so he wouldn't lose the full amount.  So while he bet for St. Louis to win the series, he bet against them as well, mostly is appears in individual games.

You know he was sweating bullets. BTW, this is the same Adam Meyer that was exposed on Finebaum last season. His betting service was giving half the callers/customers one side and the other half the other. They all do it. But they are usually smart enough not to go on the radio announcing it. LOL

I went to my first Braves same around the same time, maybe 1969 or 7o.  Saw Hank Aaron hit a home run, which landed 10 yards away.  I root for the Braves too, just hard to get excited about them.
