No school can really stack talent very deep these days.  If you are a top player and one of these guys transfers in to your school, you have to think about entering the portal yourself.  Hopefully the pendulum will swing back our way soon.

I think it will after this year. Everything and everybody is just too new right now for the players and recruits. At some point, they will come back to the brand. Those are the ones we want anyway.

We are slowly bleeding players.  Today Proctor said he's going into the portal.  It's not a gushing wound yet but it's getting there.  This may hurt us next year depending on what DeBoer can bring in from the portal. He needs to get the defensive staff filled out. And the Leadership Council needs to get after these guys that have gone in the portal.

If guys just want more NIL $$$, not much you can do about that though.

I always thought there was plenty of NIL money available for Alabama players, but I've seen things lately that it may not be the case. Could that be the reason why so many are hitting the portal?

I saw Jimmy Stein the other day on Locked on bama asking people to send 18 or 19 dollars a month to help out with NIL. First time I ever heard this. RTR!

The bleeding of players continues.  Sayin the latest to enter the portal.  This has gotten really, really bad. I don't think any team can take the kind of player losses we've had without being affected. Lots of schools will be after Sayin.

This is the first I've heard of Sayin leaving. With him and Downs leaving, this is soul crushing. Let's hope the hemorrhaging stops here. There is still a lot of talent left, but is it enough to make us competitive this year? Time will tell I guess.

Did the UW WR make a decision on where he is going?

If CKD can take a 4-8 Washington team and have them play for a National Championship in 2 years, he should be able to win big at Alabama.  He will lose some guys that were loyal to CNS, that is to be expected.  The key will be who he replaces them with.  Sayin left because of the new QB coming in, and I can't blame him.  Only time will tell if it was the right move for CKD.  But this one just looks like a personal preference by the coach.

Downs leaving is different, but at least he went to Ohio State instead of UGA.
