Bama is batting in the bottom of the 4th with runners on 1st and 3rd with one out and leading 6-2

Bama gets one more run on a sacrifice and now leads 7-2 in the top of the 5th. Bama could have had more runs in the inning as Andre Hawkins hit a shot up the middle that the pitcher snared for the final out. Hawkins has had a good tournament with her bat and this is another plus for the coaches. Andrea is a senior and has never blossomed into the player that CPM thought she could be. Maybe this will be her year.

Sydney Littlejohn is pitching today in the final game for Bama.

Libery got a safety?

Osorio has replaced Littlejohn to start the 5th inning. Littlejohn pitched 4 innings and gave up 4 hits, no walks, with 2 earned runs. This was a much better outing for Sydney than her last outing against UCF but Liberty is no UCF either. I think Sydney is still working herself back into pitching shape after her surgery.

Bama adds another run on a Demi Turner triple and an error by Liberty. Bama now leads 8-2 in the top of the 6th.

Liberty went quietly in their half of the 6th.

 
In Bama's half, Booker got a 2 out single followed by Andrea Hawkin's 3rd hit of the game, a single that put runners on 1st and 2nd. Chandler Dare then followed with a triple driving in both runs to end the game via the mercy rule. Bama wins 10-2

Not sure Liberty University is the same caliber as James Madison or UCF but a win is a win and should be a confidence booster for some of the younger players.

Bama had a total of 12 hits in the 6 inning game, 3 by Hawkins, and 2 each by Runyon, Dare, and Turner.
