Very sad, he was a great entertainer back in his day.  :(

This is sad news. I liked him very much at one time but never felt the same about him after he ran off with Mac Davis's wife.

I'm sure Reba's laughing at the poetic justice.

The local news here showed footage of him being booked into jail while they read the story.

Whom among us is old enough to recall the Mac Davis show bit where he made up a new song from any line thrown at him? BTW, rhinestones are ghey.

I liked the Mac Davis show. My favorite part was when he would make up songs from any line throw at him as you mentioned.

That guy was talented. It was a whole different culture.  Contrast that show or The Dating Game to perhapsJersey Shore to illustrate how much our society has deteriorated in 30-40 years. :( BTW, I have never watched Jersey Shore, -no idea what channel it is on. Only making an inference based on commentary.

I'm sorry to hear this news too.  :(

I always enjoyed Glen Campbell's songs.  He seemed nice...despite being married 4 times and having women problems.  Guess that sort of thing is common among entertainers, especially when they are chased down by women every time they go out the door.

We had all we needed back then. Three channels, Wide World of Sports and one college football game per week. I tell my kids about those days and they think I was raised in a cave.

Maybe he would not have had woman problems if he didn't beat them.

LOL --It cut back on the # of trips across the living room to change channels.

When we changed channels I had to go outside and turn the antenna pole to get a good picture while my Mom yelled out instructions given by my Father who sat in the recliner right in front of the TV.

I remember getting a dial antennae that you could turn from your living room. Jetsons, You still had to walk over to the TV and turn the dial(s) but it was hard wired to the roof.

Still not a remote control, but at least there were no more ladders involved.

Long lost brother of mine???

I remember my dad telling some friends of his one day. " I'll never get one of those da#@ remotes. It'll be a cold day in hell before I am too lazy to tell my son to go change the channel."
