Moore's charm had a similar effect on Saban's wife, Terry, who first became acquainted with Moore when he was trying to hire Saban away from the Miami Dolphins.

Though he had previously indicated to Moore's nephew that he had the itch to return to college football, Saban said he ultimately decided against talking with Moore after he went through meetings following his second season with the Dolphins.

"I'm driving home and I call Terry and say, 'You know Terry, I really feel guilty about this. I think I should stay here in Miami. I don't think we should talk to coach Moore,'" Saban said. "Terry says, 'Well, I already talked to him. He's been over here this afternoon. He's a fine man and he's coming over for dinner tonight.'"

he has been on his crappy little radio show for the last two hours
basically loading the moving van with CNS's stuff to head to Texas ...

he went as far as to say CNS never mentioned about being to old to start
over somewhere else and whatnot but as we know CNS did say that last night

how bad he sucked ...

Wow. That does bring a whole new perspective to it. Thanks for that. That makes it even more special that he chose Bama. I hope his relationship with Battle is strong. You could tell that CNS had a loyalty to Mal and it appears to the University as well.  That is the only chink I could see in the Bama's armor when it comes to luring Saban away.

There are a lot of ways to interpret the above comment. You can say Saban is telling Alabama fans what they want to hear. You can say he selected his words carefully so he can leave without being called a liar. After all, this is a man who famously said, "I'm not going to be the Alabama coach," and if you have checked his bio lately, you will notice that he is, in fact, the Alabama coach.

It was true at the time he said it.  After the season, Mrs. Terry met with Mal and notified him otherwise. 

It really ticks me off that his reputation has been tarnished over this.

well , today he was overwhelming success then , almost the whole show
was stupid  CNS is going to Texas stuff .

he even had a poll about it , which BTW he lost 2 to 1 on "NO" votes

SVP & Russillo were going on and on about it too. Talking about how much better the job was at Texas and that Saban would have a chance to win a championship at 3 schools. I really don't get it. You would think that the mother ship would try to stuff that down...the SEC and ESPNs tv deal with the SEC is not nearly as attractive without Nick Saban...unless Bamako can pull off another miracle with a replacement.

Currently I'm thinking Dabo might be a decent replacement, now that he's gotten some head coaching experience and worked out some of the kinks.

But I'm thinking 2020 or so, not anytime soon.
