It says a lot about the SEC East in 2014 that the division champion is a team that lost one home game 34-0 to Georgia and another to Indiana, which is either the worst or second-worst team in the Big Ten. The Tigers were fortunate that Georgia coughed up its head-to-head tiebreaker with its stunning loss to Florida.
Caution, they might have a horseshoe stuffed up there somewhere.
3. Questionable coaching decisions down stretch kill Razorbacks
Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema didn't acquit himself on the Razorbacks' final possession, when they took the ball trailing by seven with more than four minutes remaining. Despite owning the best running game in the SEC, still possessing two timeouts and with quarterback Brandon Allen playing at less than full health due to a hip injury suffered last week, Arkansas passed the ball on its first 10 plays. Bielema then called a timeout after a second-down run by Alex Collins, which gave replay officials time to check and see if Collins fumbled on the play (he did).
This pretty much sums up Arkansas the entire second half. Passing the ball with an injured QB instead of playing to their strength, calling a T.O. after their player fumbled. Initially the player was marked as down, but the T.O. game the replay officials enough time to notify the field officials that a review was needed, and it resulted in Missouri football (Missouri then ran out the clock to end the game).
