Title: Overcoming Adversity
Post by: bama57 on September 21, 2014, 08:57:48 AM
If I had told you that the Crimson Tide would lose 3 fumbles, throw an interception, have 11 penalties to Florida's 5, rush for 3.8 yards per carry, kicker Adam Griffith would miss a field goal, J.K. Scott would shank his first punt, and Blake Sims would be knocked out of the game, what would you expect the outcome to be?

All those things did happen but then there is The ProcessŪ.

It was an ugly game for Bama but a win. Usually there is one of these every season so let's hope Bama has gotten it out of their system and there are no more of them.

The game was a total contradiction of itself. The Tide was sloppy, but we scored 42 points. The offense was out-of-sync at times, but we had 645 yards of total offense. We had 11 penalties and 4 turnovers with great field position, but still held UF to 21 points. Bizarre game. I doubt we will se another game like this.

Well...gentlemen (and ladies)....what if this IS the new normal, or close to it?  What if we do see more games like this especially on offense?
