Chech out west; lots of pics and info in one thread!

Yeah, it was.  You know how fishing goes; the fish runs all over the river, jumps, looks like a whale, and then you get a pic and say, "Hmm, he sure seemed bigger at the time."

Here's the issue with fishing; water flow and height.  The water level now is so high that water is over the banks and into the surrounding trees.  

Yesterday morning it was about a foot higher.  Look at the pic above (cigar one).  Bottom left shows grass 12" underwater.  That was on the bank 2 days ago.

But, the fish are still there.  It's just a challenge!

Maybe it's not news for those who live out west, but here it is. 
MULE DEER HAVE THE BRAINS OF AN ASPARAGUS.
Almost daily they run ahead of the car instead of getting off the road.  They never learn.

The new technique, fishing with streamers early and late in the day.  We had fun.
But the water level continues to increase, and it's up to my waist.  Not good.

This is a "Leopard Rainbow Trout"; quite unusual.

These amazing to us. The learning of the different fish and stuff is so great. I never saw any of these type fish and I bet out there they are probably as common as catfish here. Thanks Chechem. RTR!

Here are today's pics (Tuesday).  I'm packing for tomorrow's travel.  Should be on the road by sunrise.

Today was excellent.  Despite the high water, I caught fish consistently, using the new techniques I learned, and fishing in deep water with double sinkers.

All are Brown Trout except the one labeled as a Rainbow trout.


See how deep the water is; even the dandelions are drowning!
