I can't remember where I saw it, but I remember something about a 3D TV that does not require the glasses. You can probably Google it and find that info.
There are active and passive 3D TVs. The active ones require expensive glasses. The passive ones, like the LG I am eyeing, use the same glasses you get for 3D movies in the theaters. I suspect you are correct about a TV that does not require glasses at all. My son's Nintendo DS 3D has games that are 3D, but that is the video game programming and probably different than the 3D signal used by ESPN3D.
