This win could be huge because the game was won without Petty. It should build the confidence of all the other players. Also, it looks like Davis is becoming more of a force and a little more physical.
It will be interesting to see how well we can continue to shoot the 3 without Petty so we can still space the D out a little and open up driving and passing lanes. If CNO can keep them playing as a team they will be good but we sure need Petty. I wonder if the new S&C coaches will work with other sports teams in our university? RTR! Can you see Scott Cochran working with the gymnastics team?

I was concerned about this game. With Petty out and Jones playing with one hand where would the points come from. Answer: the foul line (33 pts at the line). They could not slow Lewis down (25 pts), Shack continues to impress (18 pts), one handed Herb got 10 pts and the difference in the game was Javain Davis scoring 20 pts and 10 rebounds. Who had him getting a Double-double?
I give Coach Oats a lot of credit for getting our wounded team up and ready to play. This was a really good win considering the roster challenges Oats is dealing with.
No giving up, no excuses. Winning. I think Bama finally has its basketball coach. And I have that buckle in hand, ready to click in on a moment's notice, should the opportunity arise. (Next year, you'll hear that clicking sound with the season's first tip off.) RTR!

Gosh, that was good but it don't matter about speed if your routes are not right for instance: Jerry Rice, and guy from New England some years ago. Short guy can't remember his name. RTR!
Those were some memorable players, especially the short guy. (I think you mean Wes Welker, who is 5'8"?)

Good morning. Hope everyone is well. Even though it's cold this morning, the weekend looks good. No rain and warmer! We went out for dinner last night with friends. E veryone was talking "coronavirus". Sigh. Lots of basketball and baseball news, and plenty of games this weekend. Enjoy. Panic has set in with some folks. Just try to buy a dust mask at your local hardware chain.

So we all knew Ruggs was fast. Former Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs ran an official 4.27-second 40-yard dash at the NFL combine Thursday evening.
Only one wide receiver has run a faster 40-yard dash at the combine since 2006, according to NFL.com: John Ross, with a 4.22 in 2017. Ruggs’ time matched that of Marquise Goodwin, an Olympics competitor, in the 2013 combine.

Saban weighs in on Cochran leaving. Click here for link“Scott did a really good job for us here and was a big part of our success, but he was looking for a new career path,” Saban told ESPN. “He wanted to get on to the field coaching and would like one day, I think, to be a head coach. We didn’t really have anything here to offer him along those lines, and Georgia did. I understand him wanting to take on that path.” TRANSLATION: "Scott isn't field-coaching material." That's what I got out of it too. Yep. Great motivator. Maybe not great with Xs and Os. You have to wonder if Kirby sees things differently, of if he just wanted to get CSC out of Bama.

I just looked at their record. They are 16-11 and 6-8 in the conference. They lost a few close games that could have been wins. In one of them, UT threw up a hail mary three pointer to beat them at the buzzer 65-63 in Knoxville. They've only had two blowout losses. One was to #1 SC in Columbia, 93-78 and the other to #25 Arky in Fayetteville, 66-48.
They swept the barn, crushing them in Auburn 75-48, and beating them in T-Town, 68-64.
This team is on the verge of being good.
I know. It doesn't seem all that long ago that they couldn't win an SEC game.

Surprised Saban didn't see the light and promote him, but he's so good at his job that he would have been hard to replace. Can't blame him for wanting to be an onfield coach.

Putters have never liked me since I started wearing glasses 20 years ago. You were prolly more handsome without glasses. I know I was. Okay, I'll join you as the third previously handsome guy. Too bad we couldn't see all the admiring looks we received before wearing glasses. Good one!
