Does it always take that long?

No.  There are some periodontists who will insert the posts the same day.  The lower jaw generally is more dense, so that can work.  But mine was in the upper, where bone is more porous.  I had one fail up there a few years ago, so this time I was patient when the periodontist suggested we wait a few months.  Yesterday she said the bone seemed solid, so I'm hoping that (for once) I'll be lucky.

Former Alabama RB Ahmaad Galloway died a couple days ago at age 42.  I guess he and I entered Bama the same year.

Wow! 42 is young. Couldn't find much on how he died. One article suggested maybe kidney cancer.

I saw something that mentioned a rare kidney cancer as well, 2.   A player off that team (LB Victor Ellis) died with it at age 28.

I did.  She and the mayor were our landlords 22 years ago before we moved into our house we live in now.  It was a tragedy that she died and I'm sorry for the family.  The mayor (Steve) and I used to be good friends and would fish together occasionally.  When my MIL got sick (cancer) he really did her wrong IMO at the end.  In November of 2021 he told my MIL that she needed to either resign or be fired.  She chose to resign even though she had been the town librarian for 37 years and was very dedicated to it.  Steve's wife was the head of the library board and she didn't get along with my MIL and our family believes that she was behind Steve giving the ultimatum...  Water under the bridge at this point.

That's sad all the way around, NALT.  Undecided

It's Thursday and eye and teeth day for me. I have a 7:45 eye doctor appt to see when they can remove a cataract on my left eye and a dentist appt for my semi-annual cleaning at 9:40. Fun stuff!

Parallel tracks for us.  I had eye doctor appt on Monday; dentist Tuesday.  Hope yours goes well.
