You know, with all the venom that has spewed forth from the OSU people about oversigning in the SEC, especially targeting Bama, I'm curious to see how much the same guys will be running their mouths about it now, if true about Tressel.

They have already been all over the net saying this is a lot (spelled alot by OSU fans) about nothing. They feel they can "pick and chose" which rules are important enough to conform.
Conversely, their allegations about CNS oversigning, does not include any rule violations, but merely IMAGINED improprieties.

I hear ya. I've heard it from many people familiar with the OSU program who call it "Jock U, where no one there has a decent IQ."

Well first off this is crazy. A coach hiding something from the university. Next, I won't be here to hear the news conference so I expect somebody to fill me in on the site. I want to hear how Coach Tressel stands up to this. RTR!

So, Pearl lies but then came back and turned himself in and gets hammered by UT with an 8 game SEC suspension, loss of pay, and his contract was rescinded. Tressel gets caught by Yahoo and he gets a 2 game suspension and a puny fine. Sounds about right with the usual hypocrisy shown towards the SEC. This is AFTER the Big Ten Commissioner and the OSU President heavily lobbied the NCAA about this matter to let the players play in the bowl game. Wow!

BINGO!!  Now, let's see what the NCAA does to Pearl and then, if anything, to Tressel. This (OSU) is the biggest bunch of phonies and hypocrites in sports history.

I just got home.  I listened on the radio. 

Tressel said he made a mistake of taking information in confidence (confidential revelation that the players sold the stuff), that he did not seek legal advice as he should have, and he admits his mistake now.  Said he did not lie to the NCAA or discuss what he knew.

$250,000 fine and suspended 2 games.  WHAT A CROCK.  We're supposed to believe this nonsense.  He was such a good citizen that he didn't want to expose the whistle blower. 

NONSENSE.  I hope the NZAA nails him.

No.  He didn't even sound remorseful.  It was just a matter of him "making an error in judgment".  :P

So these are self imposed penalties by OSU and the NCAA penalties will be levied later????

Well I didn't hear it but I knew when I got home I would get the full issue of it on here. Thanks guys and ladies for your help. I have lost all the respect I had for mr. tressel. I see he is just like all the other crooks. RTR!
