Some team barely gets into the NCAA Tournament and quickly gets ushered out. Just as quickly, someone starts a ridiculous debate.

Is it better to make the NCAA Tournament for 40 minutes, as UAB did, or go to the NIT and make a run to New York, as Alabama is trying to do?

For first-hand insight, I asked an expert who's made short stays and deep runs in each event.

You guys need to drink some cold water and calm down. What's the big deal? Gottfried is right, the Big Dance is where it's all at. I was calling for Gottfried to be fired for over 3 years when he was the HC, but he's on the money here. If anything, he's making fun of Gottftried since he was called an expert in losing in the first game of the NCAA Tourney.

Agree. The NIT beats nothing, but it ain't the Big Dance. I hope the Tide wins the NIT to build momentum for next year, but I want us in the NCAA Tourey.
