Jeremiah Denton was a great American. He came to my high school to speak shortly after he was released from a POW camp in Vietnam. He left a lasting impression on me. To this day I get chill bumps remembering him telling us in detail how he was beaten and tortured and the courage it took for him and his fellow POW's to survive. The assembly was meant to last about 30 minutes but they let him talk until he was finished which lasted about 2 hours.

RIP Jeremiah Denton.

I am very sad to hear this. Sen. Denton was one of the first senators I remember from childhood. He was a great representative of Alabama, and a true American hero. God bless his family, and thank you Admiral/Senator Denton for all you did for our country and state.  Pray
