Ok, I was wondering about our open date being so close to the front of the schedule. Now I see we have two open dates. One before A&M and open closer to LSU. Just right for what we need it sounds like. RTR!

Handley High School standout offensive lineman Bradley Bozeman, who has been committed to Alabama since June of 2011, has opted to take a grayshirt offer from Alabama, meaning he will delay his enrollment until next January.

We are still over the 85 scholarship limit. CNS still has some roster management to do. We will not be adding anyone.

The link below is an article that explains where we are as of March 1 regarding the process of getting our scholarship numbers to 85 as required by the NCAA. This article list each position and who we have signed and presently on scholarship. We have 91 after the recent supensions. That number could be 89 depending on Marvin Shin and Danny Woodson, Jr.

Redshirts don't count. A RS is still on scholarship. We have to have a few players leave the program. Normally it is a player who has been in the program and wants to transfer because they understand they will not see meaningful playing time. Medical hardships happen as well. A MH is when a player gets injuried and is not able to come back. A MH can remain on scholarship and get their school payed for but they are no longer a part of the team.

CNS always seems to be able to work things out. We do not have to be down to 85 players until August. Spring injuries happen and juniors see incoming freshmen beating them out. No need for us to worry. It is all part of the process.

Hey ok, thanks pmull. This is really interesting, cause I like recruiting and then seeing who we are keeping to make the team. I guess the high praises of the players who are coming in and then they don't make the team for some reason peaks my interest. Thanks again. RTR!
