UT isn't even the best program in Tennessee.  Huh?

Poor Butch. He is going to learn that playing South Florida, UCONN, and Syracuse each week is a little different from playing Bama, UGA, and Florida.

Probably as good a hire as UT was going to get.  He's done well/OK as HC at two different schools.  So he's been a HC for 6 - 7 years and moved from one program to another so he knows what it's like to come in and take over.  Not saying that makes him a winning coach.  Far from it.  But at least he knows from experience the tasks he's got to get done in a hurry to get the UT program up and running again.

Agreed. I was thinking about this. He better establish whose in charge first, or these SEC recruits will run him out of town. RTR!
