RTR.  Are the rotating gymnasts competing for something?

Just from glancing, it looks like Kayla Hoffman may have won the all-around.

Come on, Illinois!  If I calculated correctly, they need greater than a 48.75 on beam to beat the barn.

RammerJammer the aubs. RTR

I wonder if etiquette is different for gymnastics.  Several years ago, at a gymnastics meet between us and Georgia, one of their gymnasts had a minor fall from the balance beam.  She basically stepped off and wasn't the least bit hurt.  It was a tight match up until then, and I said, whispering to myself, "YES!!!"  Well, some woman behind me started going on rather loudly about how classless Alabama fans are.  I kept my comments to her to myself, but I'm thinking that if an opposing football player gets creamed by one of our guys, I'm going to cheer as long as both guys get up.  Am I missing something that's different about gymnastics?  Huh?

It looks like the online scoring site is finally working.

for P. Peterson.  Wow.  I wonder what the SEC is going to look like 5 years from now.   Undecided

1 out away from wrapping this up.

.250 is close  Not razor thin but close.  I'd say it's comparable to winning by a field goal in football.

The wonderful thing is that our girls weren't perfect tonight.  They really could have done better.

Would you say that we beat Georgia by a touchdown and the rest of them by double-digits?

Any word on how everyone's final scores ended up?
1107  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: SEC Gymnastic Championship Today on: March 19, 2011, 06:43:43 PM
ROLL TIDE!!!
1108  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: SEC Gymnastic Championship Today on: March 19, 2011, 06:26:14 PM
According to my math, Florida would have to score more than 49.65 on the vault to beat us.  That's nearly impossible, isn't it?
1109  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: SEC Gymnastic Championship Today on: March 19, 2011, 06:03:53 PM
I think we can pull this out if we don't make mistakes, but it's gonna be very close for 1st through 4th place if this keeps up.

Does anybody just happen to know what a "Chanticleer" is?

A rooster.

OK.  Thanks.  I was too lazy to look it up.
