Feel free to change your vote if something happens on Saturday to make a game more interesting.  (For example, if TCU beats Oklahoma, then the Baylor TCU game might be a good pick, but if both lose then forget it.)  Voting is not guaranteed beyond 10 pm on Sunday, or whenever SC locks the vote and loads the games.

I really like this new system where everyone gets a vote on the games! Thanks CP and SC!

Hey this is fun. I got mine in so let's see what happens. I would expect a lot more voters though. RTR!

Sounds good.  We can go with 10.

I don't think there will be any vote changes past Sunday afternoon.  Mostly I think we should pick an official time to lock the voting, for this week and future weeks.  And I think a sticky on the Poll.

Lines start coming out late Sunday afternoon.  So whenever is convenient for you to enter the games... You're probably younger than me and can stay up later.   :lol2:

Honestly, I would like to get the games in on Sunday afternoon so that people can make their picks Sunday evening.  But I can't really commit to that unfortunately.

I don't think the lines started coming in last week until around 8 pm, so there's really no way to get the games posted that early on Sunday.

I'd encourage folks to change their votes for Week 7 Games (or add an additional vote) to add the TCU v. Baylor game.

TCU took out Oklahoma today.  Both TCU and Baylor are undefeated and will be highly ranked.

Some strange lines on games. A&M over Ole Miss by 3, Oregon by 3 over UCLA, Baylor by 10 over TCU, etc. What was the spread for Alabama/Arkansas? What the heck is going on?

 ???

Alabama is favored by 9 1/2.

Well TA&M could be at a great time against Ole Miss. They just came of the biggest win in school history. They may have that big let down that most everybody has after the big win. Just a thought. RTR!

Holy Moly! We just lost to Ole Miss and we are favored by 9 1/2? That is crazy in my thinking. I believe Arkansas is going to be better than the Rebels this season. These odd makers try everything to get inside these kids head. RTR!

I wonder if Vegas got burned so bad last week that they are being extra careful this week?

 :nah:

If Vegas got burned they were doing it wrong.  They set the lines so that they can get just as much money on both teams, and then they get a cut of the bets.  This is why you will see the line change sometimes.  If people are betting more money on one of the teams, they will take some points from that team to make it more attractive to bet on the other team and try to balance everything out.  If they do it right, they make money regardless of which team wins.

I still don't really know who is a contender and who is a pretender. Definitely, USC was over rated but I can not get a line on UGA (I think they are shaky at best), Arkansas (over rated but we shall see), Ole Miss, Miss. State, etc. Same goes for Oregon, UCLA, Oklahoma, TCU, & a few more. Something tells me Spurrier will be much more humble the rest of the year.

 :dunno:

The spread is locked once the games are posted.  It wouldn't be fair for me to go in and change the points after 20+ people already made their picks based on the current spread.  However, any one can go in and change their pick right up until 10 minutes before kickoff.  I just changed mine to Mizzou.

Hey MD I picked Georgia with Gurley but I didn't change my pick and my reasoning is: GA. has 2 backs that need some playing time and they look like they are going to fine on the playing field. Now, please pardon me I can't remember either name I just saw them in some clean up duty. I am not convinced that Mizz is really all that great this year. We shall see. RTR!

I thought I was being conservative with 455, but that's pretty far down the list.

Let me just say we left 200 yards on the field.   :lol2: :lol2:

Well another sad week. I am either 6-4 or 5-5 but I am consistent each week. I use to think if you look at my picks and pick the opposite you would be perfect but now it don't matter. I couldn't pick an egg if it didn't even have a chicken settin on it. RTR!

Thank you Chechem my friend. I for some reason need better concentration when I pick teams because things jump around so much. Who in their right mind would have thought MSU would be ranked so high this year? I did however, think Ole Miss was going to be good this year because of their recruiting on defense. RTR!
