Some people never learn. With a showdown of top-15 teams looming this weekend, more and more bulletin board material is accumulating to motivate Alabama. First, Ole Miss Safety Cody Prewitt made claims that this year's Crimson Tide football team isn't as good as Tide teams from the past. Then, in his weekly press conference, Rebel coach Hugh Freeze implied that Ole Miss was capable of competing with the much more talented Bama squad. Now, the deepest cut of all.
Alabama coach Nick Saban fawned over the Rebels at his own press conference. Speaking on the Ole Miss defense, Saban said, "They have always been able to move, but the do a lot of stunts and movement up front. They have some really good pass rush guys and (CJ Johnson) does a great job off the edge and usually plays that off the boundary. They have a lot of experience. I think they have nine guys back on defense, so they do a really good job in executing their scheme without getting technical."
