I don't see how a wide open transfer policy would be good for anyone, especially when the Power 5 schools have made scholarships a guaranteed 4 years. If the school is committing, the athletes need to have a reasonable amount of conviction about their commitment as well.

Not sure why they are considering tying it to GPA. Allowing transfer based only on minimum GPAs could create chaos. (And why shouldn't failing students be allowed to immediately transfer to an easier institution?
