The NCAA came out of their two day meeting with the APR as one of their major targets. The new rule would have affected some major teams this year had it been in place.

Did you notice UAB on the chart? They had the lowest APR but still can't win with their players.   Cheesy

UAB is a good school but their APR, along with their game attendance issues, only adds to the question of why they have a sports program. I wish they had to post publically how much money their program loses every year.

I think they need to drop football but keep basketball and baseball. If they keep any men's sports they will have to offer some women's sports too in accordance with Title 9.

I really thought UAB was a very high standard school in the academic area. The docotors and other high interest careers that leave there. This was a big schock to me. RTR!

Is the APR figured out sport by sport for each school or is there one APR per school that includes all the student athletes? I'm really surprised at Syracuse and OSU, unless the APRs on the chart were just for basketball.

I believe it is per sport.  If the basketball team is making horrible grades it doesn't impact the brainiacs on the women's gymnastics team.  This going from memory, so I could be wrong.  But I think I remember a report when the numbers came out last time that showed the APR for each sport at UA.
