Quote
Linebacker Dont'a Hightower was absent from practice Thursday afternoon. University of Alabama head coach Nick Saban is expected to address Hightower's absence at today's post-practice news conference.

Someone just phoned Finebaum and asked about a rumor that Hightower was injured and in St Vincent's Hospital in B'ham. Does anyone know anything about this?

Oh jeez, please let the games start soon. I can't take much more of these injury reports (whether real or fake) in preseason.  Sad

Man, these injuries do not bode well for the season. Constant nagging injuries will catch up to us during the season. We need a couple of weeks of no bad news on the injury front.

You are right about that. Maybe lots of injuries mean everyone is practicing full blast-- looking for a silver lining.

About your signature, MD. Was it Margaret Thatcher that said, "Socialism is great until you run out of other peoples money to spend". Not the exact quote, or even close, but you get my point.

Try this BAMAWV:

on Feb. 5, 1976, Prime Minister Thatcher said, "...and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They [socialists] always run out of other people's money. It's quite a characteristic of them."

I think I am going to hang on to that quote. Good stuff from a great prime minister.

Here's my favorite, next to Churchills, about socialism:

Socialism is workable only in heaven where it isn't needed, and in hell where they've got it
 Cecil Palmer

or this one:

“Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word, equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.”
 Alexis de Tocqueville

or this one

“Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it”
 Thomas Sowell

Well I enjoyed reading this one. I do believe though that when you have all these big power monsters hitting each other you are going to break bones cause they can't take that kind of power, i.e. the bones. RTR!
