Transfer wheels continue to turn slowly for future Tide WR Duron Carter. 2 of 4 grades are in. Wouldn't look for him at practice today.

  SC you are right patience should abound here because he can't make the people move any faster but it would seem the Alabama Academics department would speed them up. I don't know but I know your right he is going to play I just want to see him practice but again, patience. RTR!

Well hell yes Duron is worth waiting on...but this process is a crock full of bovine scatology.  Someone in the grade posting/grade forwarding chain of info has been asleep.  Very unfair to Duron and I hope once he gets this behind him and is enrolled & in practice, I hope daddy Chris blasts the responsible party.

Good article.  It sounds like maybe one of his professors at his old school has not turned in his grade yet for one of the classes he took over the summer.  They are probably on vacation or something somewhere and we will have to wait for them to get back.  That is all just speculation on my part.

But, in any case it appears to be just a matter of getting the correct information on his official transcript.  They seem confident that he will be eligible once all the paperwork comes through.  He might not get to practice for another week though, which is very unfortunate.

I am wondering if Carter took internet classes or independent study and that the semester at the CC just finished or is not yet over. Even when I have independent study classes that students finish before the end of the semester, I wait to enter the grades in.

The Duron Carter watch continued Thursday, with no change. The junior college transfer is still waiting on academic clearance before joining the Crimson Tide on the practice field. Cris Carter, the player's father, told Tidesports.com today that Duron Carter is also not expected to practice Friday.

After reading the story, I now think that this is simply reaping what we as a society sow. I suspect the grades missing might have come from adjuncts, who are underpaid and overworked, and frequently abused by community college administrations. At one unnamed school, when I wasn't paid, I refused to submit my grades until I got a check.
