The goal of any team is to break the will of its opponent.

When this pummeling of the enemy occurs, the proverbial flood gates tend to open. This may mean setting the tone up front with both the offensive and defensive lines, or demonstrating considerable physicality throughout the game.

According to Duane Rankin of the Montgomery Advertiser, Alabama tight end O.J. Howard claims the Crimson Tide got rival Auburn to yell “Uncle” during this year’s Iron Bowl:

Alabama will gladly hope to make Washington tap-out this coming Saturday — as the Crimson Tide take on the Huskies on one of the national semifinal games.

Unless the game turns into a serious blowout, Washington will come to play for 60 mins.  They are well coached, believe in themselves, and quietly confident.  Bama's got to be ready from the first snap.  Wash will be looking to do something early to rattle Bama's confidence.

But then they've never played against an SEC defense, or one with the defensive speed Bama has.

I hope we see something different from JH.  He's had a long time to review his film and figure out some things.  That comment from CHFreeze (...Hurts can't beat you throwing...) should get him riled up.

I agree "IF" Hurts will learn from this year. He needs to let his Receivers run into the ball not any other place to me. When i played in high school  used an old tire hanging out of a tree swinging back and forth to learn how to lead the man. Just a way I learned but it worked. We won a few games from 1969 to 1971. Earlier today I took a peek at Washington's opponents this season.  I was very unimpressed by the current statistical rankings for Washington after seeing what other teams (that were dominated so badly by the Huskies) were able to do.  Even the worst teams were able to throw for nearly 200 yards and I saw only one team that wasn't able to rush for 100+ and that was a bad team.  I think Bama will win this game going away (Saban can name the score if he wants) AS LONG AS THE TEAM IS FOCUSED on the Process.

Bama can easily destroy the Huskies but; offensive play calling is going to be the key to this game.
