They normally go down to the last minute. It makes me think people leaving or threatening to leave put the sense of urgency in them to get the deal done.

Direct TV has a fly swatter and ESPN has a shotgun in this confrontation. Who's going to win that? Direct TV can not intimidate ESPN since Direct TV would lose MILLIONS of subscribers if they don't sign up. It's absolutely stupid. :facepalm: |
