Push for DC at its best  Huh?

Barton will introduce a bill today called "the College Football Playoff Act" that prohibits "the promotion, marketing and advertising" of any national championship game unless it is the result of a playoff system.

Asked why Congress should get involved in college football, Barton responded that with millions of dollars at stake, "it's interstate commerce." The former chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, said he wants the BCS to voluntarily act, but "I think it's appropriate to have congressional oversight."

Oh goody! More government intrusion. Leave it to the college football talking heads, dipstick, the gov't. has no business sticking it's nose in this.

Sounds like those clowns who seek to outlaw Christmas by banning the usage of "Christ" except by church-owned facilities.

That's really stretching the definition of interstate commerce. Don't these guys have a slush fund account to go setup or pork barrel projects to push through instead of messing with football?

The Supreme Court stretched the definition of interstate commerce long ago.  The real question is, who will fund this imaginary playoff, and will those funds equal BCS funds?

Yeah, about 1865; right after the war to end all wars over states rights.  Angry
