-- NG Brandon Ivory worked at the back of the line with his position group. Darren Lake worked with the first team.

-- CB Deion Belue was a bit limited as the defensive backs went through their early-practice backpedaling. Belue has been bothered by an injured toe since the Texas A&M game.

-- CB Bradley Sylve (high ankle sprain) wore a black non-contact jersey and started with the defensive backs before joining head trainer Jeff Allen for some additional walking and stretching.

-- RB Altee Tenpenny (turf toe) was with the running backs but wore a black, non-contact jersey. This is progress from his past two days of pedaling on a stationary bicycle.

Looks like the rumors about Ivory have merit.  He's in the doghouse!

The doghouse has been plenty busy this year. I've never seen so many toe injuries on one team, it's got to be the shoes they are wearing.

There's some speculation on other boards suggesting it may be the turf.

I don't know that much about the causes of the turf toe but with all of the injuries at Bama, I would think it would get the attention of someone to help that situation.

I would agree. It's becoming an epidemic.

I have read over the years that turf toe is very painful and many times leads to surgery. I think Ingram had surgery for it with the Saints.

I don't think the turf has anything to do with Turf Toe. I think Jamos may be on to something with the shoes.

Quote
Turf toe occurs when the big toe is forced to extend beyond its normal range of motion. This hyperextension can be caused by:

•Standing on the balls of your feet as another person falls onto you, causing your big toe to hyperextend
•Stopping suddenly when running, causing your big toe to slide into the end of your shoe and bends up and backward as you go forward
