                    ROLL TIDE

Good morning, folks.  Coffee

E-cred to NALT for his work on the tree, helping others.  Good ju-ju.

We had a nice drive into Shenandoah yesterday.  We looped around from Staunton to east of Harrisonburg, then through farm country, and finally into Shenandoah National Park.  No bears, but plenty of deer and birds.  Fun day.

Get ready, my friends, for a slobber knocker.  Can't say the VT-UVA game was much last night (10-0 VT), but today is full of good games.  Enjoy!

Good morning everybody. Today is a big day and it is cold here on the knob. I will be going to Oneonta to Palisades Park for a ceremony today so maybe I will see some of the game. It has been a great year so far and with the injuries we have it must be that we have some great talent. Safe travels today to all. RTR!

Good morning and Roll Tide!

Chech, glad you had a good time yesterday and Preacher, I do hope you get to see some of the game today. It should indeed, be a slobberknocker. NALT, time to rest and watch the game.

Been spending a lot of time with my grandson since I've been home. I am astounded by how much knowledge he has of football. He says we're going to win today. I have no reason to doubt him.

Good morning folks.  No rest today until just before game-time.  There is an older couple that lives next door to the widow woman.  They have a very large pine tree that is deader than Charles Manson.  I'm going to try and take it down today.  Will have to be careful with this one though because there are several limbs that could possibly fall if someone sneezes close to this tree.  Happy GameDay everyone.  Let's bring home another SECW trophy tonight... Iron Bowl Saturday has arrived! I am cautiously optimistic about the game. The best team (favorite has won 45 of the last 55) normally wins and I feel we have the best team.

I have been bragging about Austin all year. Their season ended last night with a heart breaking 51-50 OT loss. Austin had an 8 point lead late in the 4th quarter. We drive to inside our own 20. A score could put the game away. We fumble. Pinson Valley quickly drives the length of the field and scores, goes for two, and ties the game 43-43. We get one last chance. We drive to our own 12. Our 29 yard game winning field goal was blocked. The game goes to OT. We score on the first play and take a 50-43 lead. PV follows with a score and goes for two and gets it. Game over 51-50.

This was a star studded game between two very good teams. PV QB is Bo Nix, the son for current PV coach and former Auburn QB Pat Nix. He threw for 371 yards and 7 TDs. He has offers from Auburn, Alabama and Ohio State to name a few. Austin's Asa Martin ran for 379 yards. He is an Auburn commit but Bama has not stopped recruiting him. Austin had another back rush for 160 yards. There were several other DI prospects on the field.

The only good thing I can say about losing is both teams played hard and with class. Both fan bases were first class. PV traveled well bringing several thousand to Decatur. The refs even called a good game. I do not recall conplaining about any calls or non-calls.

Austin finishes the year 12-1 while PV 13-0 moves on the play Clay-Chalkville in the next round.

I peeked at the scoreboard earlier this morning and saw where Austin lost. What a heart breaker. Had to be a great game, though. I had no idea that those teams had a bunch of D1 talent. May Bama get the ones they want.

Hmm...the sun did come up this morning.  Cheesy

I guess we'll have the Bama loss hangover for a few days. At least I can go lose my money playing golf today, so I got that going for me.

Any of y'all traveling today, be safe. I head back to Greenville tomorrow. Time flies when you're having fun.  Undecided

I believe there may be a few trees that need some attention down at Auburn.

They're being starved of oxygen from all the TP anyway.

Might as well put them out of our misery.

Good morning folks. Cold here and the ride yesterday got me kind of down with the game and I didn't make church this morning. It was cold on the knob this morning and got to try to get my semester PLA's done for my studies. Just sitting home hoping for a better tomorrow. You all stay safe and have fun this day. RTR!

LOL. No, I didn't cut any trees down today or yesterday.  However, there was a dead Cedar tree in the woods next to the house that I let Runt cut down with a bow saw.  It was probably about 10" in diameter and took him about 5-6 hours to do so.  Part of the problem was that he wouldn't do it the way I tried to tell him.  Therefore, I let him do it his way to learn the difference.  The other part of the problem was that my bow saw is really dull.  I'll try and get a new blade for it so next time it won't be quite as tough for him... Wink  We are going to slice the tree in disks diagonally and then insert hanger hooks into them to give as gifts.  They can be hung in the closet to help give clothes the nice aroma of cedar...  Preacher, I hope you are better this evening.
