I have a Facebook account. I started it a few years ago to keep up with my kids. A few old friends have found me and that is nice. I look at it everyday but I rarely post anything.

I first got on to find some college friends for a reunion.  It grew to keeping up with ex players .  I keep up with people from me hometown also.

I have one. It is especially important for us now as both my wife and I use it to keep up with family back in God's Country (some of you may refer to it as Tuscaloosa). I have also been able to find some old friends I haven't seen in a long time (including some high school friends I haven't seen in 20 years).

I tried facebook once.  After about 3 months I decided that it was a huge waste of time.  It has become a total distraction from real life in many cases.  Too many people, mostly girls I would think, use it to bolster their self esteem and fail miserably.  Just my  $0.02 worth...  I'll shut up now... I have an account, but I haven't spent more than 30 minutes logged on in the last 3-4 years.  Like anything, it has both positive and negatives.  A lot of people (yes, mostly women), use it almost wholly for being nosey and to see if they're keeping up with the Joneses.  I find the whole thing too annoying to use it for the better side - which is keeping up with friends and family that live away.
