Not really surprising.

In the wake of football coach Jim Tressel's stunning resignation, attention is now focusing on the job security of Ohio State President Gordon Gee and athletic director Gene Smith.

I don't see the AD or president surviving such a blow up. All the assistant coaches will be gone after this year. After reading SI's column, there is so much going on inside the program there is no way other coaches were not involved. Ohio State can't afford to let anyone stay on from Tressel's staff past this season. JMHO.

Most of those assistants will have a hard time finding another football job due to these allegations. Tressel's brother is one of those assistants.

I'm guessing the AD will be gone soon after the NCAA hearing.  Hard to say about the Pres.  Hard to know how much he knew, plus, he's effective at bringing in $$$.  BOT may wait a while --(a year??) -- so as not to jeapordize the $$$ coming in.

His brother is in deep. His involvement goes way back.

McBaman- I agree about Gee, but let's wait to see how much the Tressel firing/resignation abates the wolves.

I can't remember when we went through this thing did our AD get fired? I haven't truly found out what Institutional Control entails. One of my questions is how does tOSU problems relate to ours back then? Makes ya feel kind of ugly thinking about it. RTR!

Bama's biggest problem was Boosters, Logan Young being the main culprit. There were some assistant coaches that were involved as well.

The OSU has found itself mired in lies, corruption, tainted athletes, criminal boosters, and mores lies for the cover up. Bama's problems were merely some paperwork errors that could have happened to anyone. Hope this helps.

Thanks ya'll I just flat forgot all the particulars on that mess. So ours wasn't as bad as tOSU to me that accorrding to our penalty "they looked at the death penalty" this school will be hit so hard Wisconsin is going to be the bigdog on the block after all this. RTR!

Our AD, Hootie Ingram, was fired.
